Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinko-Savic is tipped by reporters to be heading to another Serie A club this summer, according to Reports.
However, the proposed move seems to have collapsed earlier today as Italian media outlet Corriere Dello Sport reports that the 23-year-old midfielder failed to turn up for his medical.
This means Chelsea, Manchester United and Real Madrid all have another chance to lure the Serbian international to their respective clubs.
The three clubs have been trailing the player’s development at Lazio for a long time but none of them made any official approach towards capturing his service.
Having seen his performances at the world cup, Chelsea and United have both moved swiftly for his signature while Real Madrid are keen on bringing Eden Hazard to Santiago Bernabeu instead.
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has made an official bid for the player but he hasn’t gotten a favourable reply from Lazio’s hierarchy.
The Serie A side are reportedly hoping to receive nothing less than £130m from the Blues if they must sanction the former Genk star’s switch to Stamford Bridge.
As for Mourinho, the Portuguese boss might pull out of the player’s race as his employers are not willing to spend big on players this summer.
We reported here on Sunday that the Red Devils manager is furious with the club’s transfer policy as they haven’t gotten him the five players he would love to have before the close of the transfer period.
