After long chase after Hazard’s signature, Real Madrid have finally put an end to their desire to work with the Belgian ahead of the upcoming season.
The Los Blancos have been monitoring the player’s situation at Stamford Bridge since the winter transfer window but all their approaches to capturing him were unfruitful.
Chelsea seem to be asking too much for the player’s services this summer and that has made the Spanish giants cooled their interest in signing the 28-year-old playmaker.
According to reports from the Express, the Blues are demanding for £200m from the Santiago Bernabeu outfits but Madrid president Florentino Perez is unwilling to release such huge amount for a single player.
Though Madrid have pulled out of the race for Hazard’s signature, the Blues might still lose two players to the Spanish giants this summer as reports claimed that Willian and Thibaut Courtois have both emerged as Lopetegui’s prime target.
The former Spain national team manager has told his employer to capture Willian, who he sees as an alternative to Eden Hazard.
Lopetegui also wants Thibaut Courtois at Santiago Bernabeu ahead of next season as he is uncertain about Kaylor Navas’ future in the team.
Just as Lopetegui desires, the Los Blancos hierarchy have offered £100m to Chelsea for the two players but only time will tell if the offer is enough to convince Maurizio Sarri to let go of his important players ahead of next season.
