Chelsea are reportedly leading the park for Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentina international has been a subject of transfer speculations this summer as the Old Lady are willing to cash in on his services before the start of next season.
Since they have successfully signed Cristiano from Real Madrid, the Turin outfits have been finding suitors for the experienced striker so as to regenerate part of the huge money they spent on the Portuguese goal-poacher.
It’s no longer news that Chelsea had revealed their desire to capture his signature before the end of this month as Maurizio Sarri wants to reunite with the player at Stamford Bridge.
Though all their bids were rejected by Juve, the Blues are said to be in pole position to get the player this month.
According to the Sunday Mirror, the Blues are steps ahead of AC Milan in the race for Higuain’s signature.
The British media claimed that the West London are close to finalizing a deal with the Scudetto Champions for the player, though they face huge competition from the San Siro Outfits.
They also suggest that the Rossoneri are willing to offer him a £80k-A-Week contract while Chelsea are set to offer him a £120k-A-Week contract which looks enticing to the player.
If the report is anything to trust, Maurizio Sarri is on the verge of completing a £90m move for the player alongside Daniele Rugani, who is also being tracked by the Blues.
