Willian “surely” Heading To Manchester United— Report
Chelsea want-away winger Willian will definitely be joining the Red Devils this summer, that’s according to Spanish media publication Mundo Deportivo.
The site claimed this Morning that the Brazilian is “surely” going to reunite with José Mourinho at Old Trafford this summer as Barcelona have pulled out of the race for his signature.
The Blaugranas made three bids for the 29-year-old star which were all rejected by the Blues, who are unwilling to sell him for any price.
Having failed to prise Willian away from Stamford Bridge, the Catalans hijacked Roma’s move for Malcom when they captured the young Brazilian on a £31m deal and unveiled him to their fans on Tuesday.
With only Mourinho left in the race for the player’s signature, Mundo Deportivo believes the Portuguese manager would eventually convince the player to join him at Old Trafford.
Chelsea have reportedly reduced Willian’s price tag from £55m to £44m and that seems to be an affordable fee that United should release without stress.
Considering the uncertainty surrounding Martial’s future at Old Trafford, signing Willian will be a good thing for Mourinho, who has so much trust in the player’s qualities while at Chelsea.
