Toby Alderweireld Gets New Suitor As Juventus Join His Race.

Juventus are reportedly keeping a close eye on Toby Alderweireld’s situation at the Wembley stadium as they consider him as one of the players who could improve their defensive set-up in the coming season.

The central defender was once a regular starter in Mauricio Pochetino’s team this season but the injury which he picked up in the early part of the season made him lose his place to Davies and Sanches in the team.

It is believed that Juventus full-back Mehdi Benatia could be on his way to Marseille as the Ligue 1 team remain keen on acquiring his signature in the summer. As part of Juve’s plan to find a perfect replacement for the versatile defender, they are being linked with a move to snatch Alderweireld from the North London Club.

According to Tuttosport, the Turin-base club are hoping to make a £35m profit from Benatia’s sale in the summer which they would later offer to Tottenham for Alderweireld’s services.

Though the Lilywhites are hoping to offload the Belgian international this summer, they wouldn’t be too generous to let the experience defender leave the club for as low as £35m which means the Old Lady will need to improve their offer for the player.

Manchester United are also linked with the defender’s signature as Mourinho hopes to make some vital changes to his squad before the start of next season.

The Portuguese manager is currently having a not-too-cordial relationship with Eric Bailly and that could make the Ivorian move out of Old Trafford in the summer.

Argentina defender Marco Rojo could also be on his way out of Old Trafford after being used on few occasions throughout the season and Mourinho is hoping to bring the quality full-back to the theatre of dreams as a replacement.
