Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic is set to end his fourth-year spell at Stamford Bridge this summer as he is being tipped to complete his switch to Serie A side Atalanta in coming days.
Despite being with the West London club for such a long period, Palasic is yet to make any appearances for the team and he is likely not to get that before he leaves the team on a permanent deal.
According to Atalanta manager Gian Piero, in an interview with Sky Sports Italia, the Serie A club are on the verge of completing a move for the former Hadjuk Split’s midfielder.
The manager revealed that the deal is being delayed due to Chelsea’s involvement in the ongoing pre-season tour, which the player is part of the squad to Australia.
Pasalic was sent to four clubs on loan deals but he is set to depart the Blues for good so as to have a stable career in the nearest future.
In other Chelsea transfer news, the Blues are set to miss out on Manchester United and France international striker Anthony Martial this summer as reports claim that the 22-year-old is set to pen a new deal with the Red Devils, that’s according to the Independent.
Martial was a fringe player during last season despite his blistering form in the early part of the season.
As result of his lack of regular action on the pitch, the young striker was reportedly linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea but that won’t be happening if the report from the Independent is anything to believe.
