Chelsea Target Gianluigi Donnarumma As Search For Courtois’ Replacement Continues.
2016-17 Premier League Champions Chelsea are still in search of a perfect goalkeeper to replace departing Thibaut Courtois.
The Belgian netminder is said to be on his way to Santiago Bernabeu this summer but the Blues are yet to sanction his move away from the Stamford Bridge Stadium as they haven’t seen a quality netminder to occupy the space that would be created by the former Atletico Madrid goaltender.
During Conte’s reign as Chelsea boss, the Blues were monitoring Roma goalie Alisson Becker but they seem to have failed to win the player’s signature as the Sun reported last night that Liverpool have reached an agreement with the Serie A giant for the Brazilian international.
However, according to transfermarketweb, Maurizio Sarri has developed interest in AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and he’s set to join the race for the awesome youngster.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper was lively in goal for the Serie A side during the previous season and the media outlet is suggesting that Chelsea are willing to sign him up even if it cost them losing Alvaro Morata.
The Blues are looking at the prospect of offloading the Spanish striker this summer and they don’t mind giving the player to AC Milan in a swap deal for the young goalkeeper.
