N’zonzi Not Joining Arsenal As Emery Cools Interest.
It was reported across all transfer media that Arsenal manager Unai Emery is willing to reunite with French midfielder N’zonzi this summer but that appears to be a mere speculation as latest reports claim that the former Sevilla manager is no longer interested in the player’s services.
The report published last night by Spanish media outlet Estadio Deportivo, suggest that the 29-year-old is staying with Sevilla beyond this summer as Emery pulled out of the race for his signature.
The source also confirmed that the manager recently contacted the Frenchman to congratulate him for the world cup trophy he won with his France teammates.
With the reports coming from Spain, Unai Emery isn’t close to completing his sixth signing of the summer.
However, the Spanish manager still has his eyes on luring Russian star Aleksandr Golovin to the Emirate Stadium despite huge competition from Juventus, Chelsea, Monaco, United Paris St-German – who are all interested in his signature.
Golovin, 22, was awesome for the 2018 world cup host throughout the tournament. He was influential for the team, helping the team to a quarter-final spot for the first time in their history.
Though last night’s report via Daily Mail claimed that the Blues have reached a deal with CSKA for his signature but the Russia side have debunked the news to give the Gunners a bit of confidence they can capture Golovin’s signature this summer.
