Deal Confirmed: Ajax Re-sign Daley Blind On Four-year Contract.
Manchester United player Daley Blind has officially joined Eredivisie giants Ajax on a four-year deal.
The Dutchman spent four years at Old Trafford but he wasn’t as successful as he would have wanted because he didn’t get to feature regularly under Ryan Giggs and José Mourinho.
According to the Dutch side via their official website revealed that they have paid £14m to United for the 28-year-old’s signature. They further also revealed he was immediately offered a four-year contract which he happily accepted.
This means Blind will remain at the Amsterdam outfits until 2022-23 season if everything works well between both parties.
On his part, the versatile player – who can perfectly play as a left-back, right-back and defensive midfielder – thanked the Red Devils for the opportunity given to him to play with the ‘World’s largest club’.
According to him via his verified Twitter handle, it was a great privilege playing under Mourinho; winning trophies and sharing the pitch with some of the greatest footballers including Wayne Rooney, Michael Carrick and Juan Mata.
He, however, showed his happiness for his signing with Ajax. He told reporters that signing with the Dutch club is like coming home.
Ajax will be hoping to get the best from the player when the 2018-19 season begins in August. Meanwhile, Blind will be given the responsibility to lead the team to glory in coming seasons.
