Deal Close : Thibaut Courtois Could Be Announced By Madrid This Week.
Having reached the final year of his contract with Chelsea, Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is being linked with a move out of Stamford Bridge this summer.
The goalie has been a long time target for Real Madrid, who turned their attention to the keeper after seeing their bid for David De Gea turned down by United.
The Belgian is no doubt one of the best netminders in the world and that has endeared him to many clubs in Europe and beyond.
Atletico and Paris St-German are also in the race for the goalie’s signature as both clubs wants an upgrade to their goals keeping department.
However, latest reports claim that the Belgium international is on the verge of accepting a deal to move to Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
The 26-year-old told reporters last month that he would love to move to Spain so as to spend quality time with his children.
Though new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is unwilling to lose him to Real Madrid this summer, Courtois might be heading to Madrid before the week comes to a close.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are a one-time admirer of the keeper as Klopp seeks a long-term solution to his goalkeeping department.
However, the German manager has pulled out of the race to sign him as he is now focusing on luring Roma netminder Alisson Becker to the Anfield Stadium ahead of next season.
