Unai Emery Wants Cristian Pavon As Sixth Summer Signing.
Emery is not done with his transfer plans as he is speculated to be plotting a transfer deal for Argentina international winger Cristian Pavon, according to report from Daily Express.
The Spanish manager isn’t contended with the number of players he’s gotten so far this summer window and he’s hoping to add the Bocca Junior player to his squad so as to add more quality to his team’s performance at both flanks.
Though Argentina were relatively poor throughout their stay in Russia, Pavon was awesome for the South American country.
His display against Nigeria in final group D game was immense throughout the time he spent on the pitch, helping his team progress to the knockout stages at the expense of the African side, whom they defeated 2-1.
Pavon is said to have a £35.7m release clause in his contract with the Argentine side.
The Gunners are willing to meet the club’s asking price for his signature but they face huge competition from Barcelona, who are also interested in capturing the world cup star.
Though Barcelona have made Chelsea winger Willian their prime target, the Blaugrana are still keen on his service as they are yet to get a positive response from the Blues hierarchy over their bid for the Brazilian winger.
Pavon is presently in his homeland enjoying his vacation but he has revealed his plan not to return to Bocca Junior ahead of next season.
