Arsenal’s Transfer Door Is Not Closed Yet
Having signed five first-team players and two youth teams player, reports which emanated from the Emirate Stadium yesterday claimed that there will be no new signings for the rest of the summer window.
The reports appears to be lacking a true component as latest reports claim that the Gunners manager Unai Emery is hoping to add one to two players to his team before the start of the season.
The former PSG boss told reporters last night that there is still a chance of bringing two players to his squad but that is if there is an extreme importance to do so.
According to the Spaniard, top clubs didn’t close doors on buying new players but as for him and the club’s hierarchy, they are not going to negotiate with other clubs for new players except there is an urgent need to do so.
The Gunners are still keen on getting Golovin as part of their plans for next season but they are presently behind Juventus in the race to capture the youngster’s signature.
The Turin club could unveil him to their fans in some weeks time, should the Gunners fail to block the deal from materializing.
Meanwhile, some players might still be shown the club’s exit door this summer. Iwobi, Lacazette, Welbeck, and Maitland-Niles are yet to know their respective fates under the new manager.
