Chelsea set to make a late challenge for Jorginho signature
Chelsea are reportedly set to make a late attempt in moving for Jorginho despite the club’s acclaimed agreement for the Napoli midfielder.
The Etihad outfit appeared to be the front-runners in the race for the player’s signature having seemingly agreed terms with the Italian outfit for the defensive-minded star.
But according to Manchester Evening News, premier league rivals, Chelsea have submitted a late interest for the 26 -year-old and could reportedly hijack the deal with claims emerging the London club have agreed to personal terms with the player.
The Blues were also given a massive boost to their quest with claims the player preferably wants a switch to the bright lights of the English capital instead of a switch to Manchester this summer.
Chelsea are widely expected to name Maurizio Sarri as their next manager which could also make the deal favourable due to the pair great relationship while the Italian coach was in charge of Napoli last season
The Serie A side have admitted their prized asset’s departure is inevitable and have already announced a deal for Fabian Luiz who is expected to come in as a replacement for the defensive midfielder
