Chelsea are reportedly set to prevent Willian’s move to Old Trafford from materializing due to the rivalry that exists between both clubs.

According to reports, the Blues are not ready to see Willian play against them in the upcoming season, therefore, they are set to reject every offer from the Red Devils for the Brazilian star.

This means that Barcelona, who are also keen on his signature, are now in pole position to lure the 30-year-old winger to the Camp Nou Stadium in the upcoming season.

Willian is yet to know what the future holds for him at Chelsea as he is currently not rated by Antonio Conte, who preferred starting Pedro ahead of him throughout last season.

Though Conte is reportedly set to be fired by the West London outfits, Willian is still not certain if he would get regular game-time under incoming manager – Maurizio Sarri.

Manchester United manager José Mourinho has shown interest to re-sign the former Anzhi Makhachkala winger since last winter but the Blues are reluctant to listen to any offer from their former manager.

According to Diario Gol in one of their reports last month, Catalans developed an interest in the Brazilian international and they have made an official approach towards capturing his signature this summer.

According Duncan Castles, who is a reporter for Sunday Times, claimed that Chelsea are ready to do all they can to block Willian from reuniting with José Mourinho just like Nemanja Matic during the previous summer window.

The Blues want £70m for the player and the La Liga Champions are willing to meet their price tag.
