Former Manchester United star player Cristiano Ronaldo has shocked the world as he agrees agreed to join Juventus this summer, according to goal.com
The Portuguese player has been a source of transfer speculation for a very long time as he was reportedly sad with the way he was treated by the Galacticos hierarchy in recent seasons.
According to Goal, the 33-year-old proven goalscorer is set to accept the four-year contract offered to him by the Serie A Champions.
Should he accept the contract, the Balon d’Or winner will receives €30 million (£26.5m/$35m) as his yearly salary. He will also become the highest paid player in the club’s history.
The report also claimed that the Old Lady will have to pay nothing less than €100m to the Spanish giants if they must beat United to his signature this summer.
It should be recalled that the Portuguese superstar was close to joining the Bianconeri at the age of 18 but the deal failed to materialize, thereby, giving United the opportunity to launch an attractive and lucrative offer which couldn’t be turned down by Portuguese side Sporting CP.
Having played with Manchester United and Real Madrid, where he won numerous trophies — including Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League, La Liga, Copa del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, the player believes it is time to move to the Italian League to know things are being done.
He would be hoping to complete his move to the Turin outfits this week so as to settle down quickly ahead of next season.
Only time will tell whether a move for the 33-year-old striker is a good decision from the Scuddeto Champions.
