Chelsea have finally reached an agreement with Roma for the signature of their Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
According to report, the Blues are set to pay huge money to the Serie A side so as to convince them to release the goalkeeper, who is being awesome for his country at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
The Blues are yet to decide on Thibaut Courtois future but it is reported that the Belgian netminder could be on his way to either Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid, where he broke into limelight as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
As result of the uncertainty surrounding Courtois’ future, Chelsea have agreed to meet Roma’s €73m asking price and they could complete the deal immediately after the world cup or if Brazil fail to qualify to the Semi final of the competition.
The fee is said to be €65m while bonuses are worth €8m. The Blues would be very glad once they acquired his services considering his exploits for the Italian side in last season’s Champions League competition.
With Chelsea set to hire a new manager, the Blues will definitely witness a change in their crop of players as the Italian manager would bring new faces to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Alisson Becker will man the post for the South American country later in the day when Brazil Belgium in the quarterfinal round of this year’s FIFA world cup tournament in Russia.
EPL: Frank Lampard Reveals Why Chelsea Drew With Leicester City
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has had his say on the disappointing draw at home to Leicester City.
Lampard and his Chelsea players drew 1-1 with Leicester City at home to further extend their winless run at the start of the season to three games.
After the Leicester City game, Frank Lampard spoke to the media about the result as he pointed out that his players should have done better against the Foxes.
Lack of game management was responsible for the disappointing result according to ex-Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.
The Blues legend also said that his team played well for the first 25 minutes and that it should be the blueprint for the rest of the season unlike the final 65 minutes of the game.
Frank Lampard also said that the performance against Manchester United was better than the one churned out by his players against the Brendan Rodgers-led Leicester City team.
The Manchester United game ended in a 4-0 defeat in what’s his first match as the new Chelsea manager having been appointed into the job this summer.
Marcus Rashford (2), substitute Daniel James and Anthony Martial were the goalscorers for the Red Devils.
Lampard and Chelsea played 2-2 with Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup before they were beaten 5-4 on penalties in his second game as the new Chelsea manager.
The Leicester City clash in the Premier League is his third game at Chelsea.
EPL: David Luiz Reveals What Lampard Told Him Before Arsenal Move
New Arsenal signing David Luiz has revealed what Chelsea manager Frank Lampard told him before making the decision to move across London during this summer’s transfer window.
In an interview with ESPN Brasil, David Luiz confirmed that he had a conversation with Frank Lampard before arriving at the decision to leave for Arsenal.
According to him, Frank Lampard had a different plan and he had to leave Chelsea as a result.
Reports claimed that the Brazilian international was made the fourth choice center-back by Frank Lampard with the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma.
David Luiz joined Arsenal in a deal reported to be around £8m.

The 32-year-old was the sixth and final signing of the summer for the Gunners.
He was handed a two-year contract until the end of the 2020/21 season.
David Luiz spent seven seasons over two spells either side of his time as a Paris Saint Germain (PSG) player.
He made his Arsenal debut on Saturday during the 2-1 win over Burnley in what was a Premier League game.
David Luiz played the entire duration of the game as the Gunners recorded a second straight league win at the start of the new league campaign.
Chelsea Ask Top Defender To Leave This Summer
Premier League giants have reportedly asked one of their defenders to leave the club before the European transfer window ends.
Chelsea defender Davide Zappacosta is surplus to requirements at the club and the Italian international right-back has been told that he should look for a new team.
According to popular media outlet Goal, Chelsea have slapped an asking price of £23m on the former Torino defender though it remains to be seen whether interested clubs will be willing to spend that money on the player.
Davide Zappacosta became a Chelsea player in 2017 in a deal reported to be around €28m (£25m).
Italian Serie A giants AS Roma are interested in Zappacosta but the capital club wants a loan deal for the player rather than a permanent deal.
Davide Zappacosta made 35 appearances for Chelsea in his debut season at the club but his playing time suffered a great deal under compatriot and new Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri in the last campaign.
Sarri spent just one season as the Chelsea manager before he left the West London giants to take up the managerial job at Italian Serie A champions Juventus.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard sees young right-back Reece James as the second choice to Cesar Azpilicueta rather than Davide Zappacosta.
Ex-Chelsea, Arsenal Defender Announces Retirement
Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has announced his retirement from football.
The announcement was made earlier on Sunday.
Ashley Cole also revealed his plans for his career moving forward.
The former Arsenal and Chelsea player was at Derby County until this summer having joined the English Championship club on a short-term deal during the winter transfer window in January.
Ashley Cole was released by Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit LA Galaxy towards the end of last year before he signed a six-month contract at Derby County.
His move to Derby County was influenced by former Chelsea teammate Frank Lampard who was the manager at that time.
Lampard has since left Derby County to return to Chelsea.
The former Derby County boss is now the new Chelsea manager after Maurizio Sarri left the club for Juventus this summer.
Italian tactician spent just one season as the Chelsea manager.
Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard were part of the Chelsea squad that won the 2012 Champions League title at the expense of Bayern Munich.
Cole played under Lampard for Derby County as they reached the Championship playoff final before they were beaten by Aston Villa who are now in the Premier League as a result of the win (a 2-1 victory over Derby County).
