Manchester United are reportedly tracking Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic’s performance at the world cup in Russia and they could be making an offer for his signature before the end of the ongoing transfer window.

Croatia are gradually becoming the favourite to win this year’s world cup tournament since football powerhouses such as Spain, Portugal, Germany, Argentina and Denmark have all been eliminated from the competition.

Though the Croats have collectively ensured their qualification to the quarter-final round of the tournament, it was Mario Mandzukic’s goal that helped the team equalized conceding in just 58 seconds into the game against Denmark last night.

The Juventus striker has been a target for the Red Devils since last winter window but Mourinho failed to lure him to Old Trafford as he opted for Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez instead.

It is believed that the 32-year-old may not get regular first-team actions should he move to the Theater of Dreams this summer but it is certain that the experienced striker will add more quality to the team despite being a backup option to Romelu Lukaku.

With Lukaku’s fine form for Belgium so far, it will be very difficult seeing Mandzukic benching the Belgian star for a place at the club’s centre-forward position.
