‘He’s a perfect player’ – Jurgen Klopp orders board to sign prolific world cup defender

Colombia international defender Yerri Mina has emerged as Fenerbahce’s target after his inspiring displays for the South American country at the ongoing World Cup.

The Barcelona star was on target for Colombian against Poland and Senegal and that goals were all the European country needed to qualify to the next round of the competition where they will come up against England later today.

Having flopped in his first season at Camp Nou last season, the Colombian defender is tipped to be heading out of the La Liga Champions this summer as he seeks a club where he would rejuvenate his career.

He joined the Blaugranas last winter but failed to nail down a spot in Valverde’s starting eleven all through the season. He only featured in six matches for the Spanish side.

According to Diario Gol last month, Super Lig giants Fenerbahce have made move to lure the player to Turkey but they are yet to get a perfect response from the Catalans.

However, TalkSPORT are claiming that Liverpool have joined the race for the 23-year-old’s signature as they want to upgrade their defensive setup ahead of the 2018-19 season.

The Reds are desperately keen on bringing the former Palmeiras star to Anfield, hoping to beat their Turkish counterparts.

Fotomac also confirmed the report by suggesting that Jurgen Klopp has advised his employers to ensure they hijack Fenerbahce’s move for his signature by bidding a lucrative offer to Barcelona, who are ready to loan him out this summer.
