Chelsea make £27m offer for World Cup star Aleksandr Golovin
Chelsea are finally on the verge of announcing Italian manager Maurizio Sarri as their new manager this week, according to reports.
The Blues hierarchy have delayed his hiring for a very long time as they haven’t get rid of Conte’s contract. But now that everything is settled between Conte and the club, they are reportedly set to confirm his signature latest tomorrow.
Once he takes over from Conte, Sarri will be given the chance to bring new players to the Stamford Bridge Stadium as he begins his overhauling process.
It’s no longer news that the former Napoli boss is eyeing a move for Juventus defender Daniele Rugani this summer, he is now tipped to join the race for Russian wonderful midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.
The Russian 21-year-old attacking midfielder is one player whose performances have been awesome for the host country. He was actively involved in the country’s opening game against Saudi Arabia.
He was also lively for the team in one of the round-16 matches played yesterday as they came from behind to recorded a surprise victory over Spain via penalty kicks.
Sarri has told Chelsea to make £27m offer for his services and Roman Abramovich is willing to listen to the Italian manager so as to beat Arsenal and Juventus to his signature this summer ahead of next season.
