Torreira’s switch to the Emirates Stadium is long overdue and the Gunners fans are losing patience with this club’s sporting director Sven Mislintant over the delay.
However, there is a good news that would make Arsenal’s supporters more happy as the Uruguayan star is ready to move to the club and he’s believed to be unveiled as Arsenal player in one week.
The Sampodria midfielder is set to cause the Emirates Stadium outfits £25m, according to reports but that isn’t too high for the player’s signature considering his qualities and exploits for the Serie A club during last season.
According to the Mail, the Uruguayan is being tipped as the ideal player to provide a quality shield for the Gunners back four in the upcoming season.
During last season Arsenal didn’t have strong and quality holding midfielder to protect the back four and that led to the Gunners conceding cheap goals throughout the campaign.
With the Uruguayan star playing alongside Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey, the Gunners would at least rest assured that there would be little cheap goals conceded in the 2018-19 season.
In other Arsenal news, the Gunners are hoping to beat Liverpool to Lucas Vazquez’s signature but they will need to make huge-money bid to Real Madrid so as to convince the Los Blancos to release him in the summer.
