If there is one player who should have left Liverpool by now is no other person but Brazilian winger Roberto Firmino, who joined the Reds from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim in 2015 during Jurgen Klopp’s second season at Anfield.
The winger was lively throughout last season, forming a deadly partnership with Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane at the frontline.
His link-up play with his fellow strikers is nothing short of brilliant. He was also one of the top scorers Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Last season, the Merseyside club experienced a great run of results at the European scene, reaching the UEFA Champions League final but were defeated by Real Madrid, who ended their hope of winning first trophy under Jurgen Klopp.
Firmino possesses a very perfect eye for goals, his pace and tricks are other attributes which makes him one of the best wingers in modern-day football.
Though Liverpool fans are happy to see that no clubs have made enquiries about the player’s availability, Firmino’s agent is not doing enough to get the £72m-rated player a club that suits his pedigree in terms of winning trophies.
His versatility is another trait which would make him succeed in any club he plays for. The pacey winger can operate as an attacking midfielder and equally as a centre-forward.
Real Madrid will be a perfect place for the Brazilian to end his not-too-successful career, considering the Galacticos playing style in recent years but the question is will Klopp sanction his move out of Anfield Stadium this summer? Only time will tell.
