Manchester United and Belgium midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been a source of transfer speculation for more than two months as they were constant reports that he could be moving out of Old Trafford this summer after reaching the end of his contract with the Premier League giants.
However, reports that went viral in all social media and every rumour mongers suggested the former Everton defensive midfielder is set to renew his contract with the Old Trafford outfits this summer despite interest from Juventus, Fenerbahce and Besiktas, the rumor is true as the prolific tall midfielder has sig a 2year contract with Manchester United.
Hadn’t been the 30-year-old pushed through his decision to leave the former Premier Champions this summer, Manchester United manager José Mourinho would have made West Ham’s huge and fit midfielder Marco Arnautovic his top summer priority so as to serve as Fellaini’s replacement.
It was reported last month that the Portuguese tactician was at the Stadium during Austria match against Russia in a pre-worldcup friendly match that ended in 2-1 so as to monitor the player’s performance.
Arnautovic is expected to be an integral part of Manuel Pellegrini’s team in the upcoming season and the Hammer’s faithfuls are delighted to see that Mourinho would end his interest in their star man now that Fellaini is going nowhere this summer.
However, Mourinho might still proceed in his mission to lure the Austrian interest to Old Trafford as part of his desire to upgrade his team’s performances from the middle of the pitch in the upcoming season.
