Chelsea are reportedly in the unhappy with the treatment they are getting from their first-choice netminder Thibaut Courtois concerning his future and they are ready to cash-in on his signature this summer.
This might be a surprise to many Chelsea fans as they can’t imagine losing the Belgian goalie this summer but reports emanating from the Belgium camp in Russia claims that the Blues hierarchy are looking at the prospect of releasing him this summer so as to avoid losing him as a free agent in 2020.
According to Matt Law in his report via the Telegraph, Chelsea have made up their mind to let go of the Belgian, who is being tipped to make a return to Atletico Madrid before the start of next season.
The same report also claimed that the West London Club are in search of his replacement and they have made move to capture £50m-rated Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker, who is presently with Brazil national team in Russia.
Alisson Becker has been tipped to become the Belgian’s replacement in the coming season but the Blues are facing huge competition from Liverpool and Real Madrid for the player’s signature.
Thibaut Courtois has been in fine form for the Red Devils of Belgium so far in Russia and he would be hoping he continues his lively performance when the team face Sweden in the quarterfinal round of the competition tomorrow.
