England international midfielder Jack Wilshere is on his way to Turkish League after reaching an agreement with Fenerbahce, according to reports.
The 26-year-old ended his contract with the North London club last week after Unai Emery’s decision to use him as a bit-part member of his team in the upcoming season.
The player, who has spent 10 years at the Emirates Stadium, has made up his mind to move to the Turkish League giants this summer despite interest from AC Milan, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth.
The player was seen alongside Philip Cocu- Fenerbahce manager, his agent Wasserman COO Fahri and Mr Andrew, who is the player Andrew in a picture which depicted that a deal his set to be officially confirmed.
To fuel the speculation that Wilshere is on his way to Fenerbahce, Turkish journalist Volkan Demir claimed that they have secretly signed a contract with the club but it would be announced on Monday.
If these rumours are anything to go by, Wilshere will be unveiled as Fenerbahce player on Monday as he would be penning a 3-year contract with the Turkish based giants.
Capturing Wilshere on a free transfer is a great news for Cocu and the club’s hierarchy, considering his experience and exploits with the Gunners for more than a decade.
Wilshere,26, has had to deal with numerous injuries throughout his stay at the Emirates Stadium but he would be hoping to maintain great fitness level into the new season so as to perform to his maximum best for his new club.
