Germany and Borussia Dortmund striker Mario Gotze is reportedly considering moving to Liverpool in the summer as he prefers reuniting with his former manager Jurgen Klopp in the upcoming season despite interest from other clubs.
According to German analyst Lee Price, Jurgen Klopp is looking forward to working with the striker this summer due to the relationship he shared with the World Cup winner during his time at Westfalenstadion.
Lee Price further revealed to Daily Express that Gotze might be moving to the Anfield Stadium this summer as he hopes to feature under his compatriot once again before putting an end to his career.
Considering the Reds attacking exploits throughout last season, it can be said that the Merseyside club didn’t have much reason to sign another striker ahead of the upcoming season.
Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge were both loaned out of Anfield last season while Dominic Solanke, who joined the team from Liverpool in January, hasn’t been given much time on the field and he could join the list of loaned players this summer.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp is battling a great challenge to keep Mohammed Salah beyond this season as Madrid remain determined to snatch the Egyptian away from his watch.
Mo Salah has failed to help his country reach the knockout stages of the ongoing Russia 2018 World Cup. The 44-goal master couldn’t rescue his team from a 3-1 defeat to Russia.
