Arsenal former manager Arsene Wenger is set to come back to haunt the Gunners as he is ready to block their move for Russian world cup star Aleksandr Golovin.
According to one Russian agent Sandor Varga, the Frenchman is ready to return to his coaching job in the upcoming season but it’s yet to be seen where he would be heading to in the 2018-19 season.
The agent claimed that the 68-year-old manager is willing to move for the Russian star this summer so as to improve the team he eventually joins before the start of next season.
‘I do not know what Arsenal will do, but I’ll take him for myself.’ Wenger said as quoted by Varga
Arsene Wenger left the North London club last season and he has refused to reveal the club he would love to join.
It was reported in May that a Ligue 1 side have already tabled a bid for his services but the Frenchman failed to listen to the offer as he claimed it is not the right time to return back to his home country.
Varga confirmed that Wenger is in talks with two clubs over the possibility of joining one of the clubs this summer.
Golovin is an inspiring figure in the Russian squad at the ongoing summer World Cup.
His goals and overall performances were enough to help the host country qualify to the next round of the competition.
He has scored two goals so far and he could be adding to his tally when they take on Uruguay in the final group match on Monday.
Manchester United and Juventus are the other clubs interested in the 22-year-old CSKA midfielder.
