Manchester United boss José Mourinho might eventually cool his interest in Juventus left-back Alex Sandro according to reports.
The Brazilian left-back has been a longtime target for the Portuguese manager but all his efforts to get him was unsuccessful.
The manager was believed to be on the verge of completing a deal with the Serie A gaints for the player’s signature during the winter transfer market but the deal failed to materialize despite reaching an agreement with Juventus.
Despite Juventus’ reluctance in dealing with the Red Devils for the player, Mourinho is tipped by reporters as one of the managers who could make another improved offer for the Brazilian star.
Sandro 27, is an experience defender whose ability and leadership is obviously needed in Mourinho’s team ahead of the upcoming season.
He has played in many matches for the Old Lady club and that is one major reason why he might be prevented from moving to Old Trafford this summer.
According to Italian media outlet Tuttosport, the Turin based club are keen on Sandro’s service beyond this summer and they are unwilling to sanction his move away from the club irrespective of the financial value present in United’s offer.
Mourinho will need to shift his attention to other left-back before the end of the current transfer market as he definitely needs to upgrade his team’s defensive abilities ahead of the upcoming season.
Danny Rose, who is set to leave Tottenham Hotspur, might be the Portuguese target in the coming days.
