Arsenal have received major boosts in their desire to improve their current squad this summer as one of their targets revealed his eagerness to start his Arsenal career in the upcoming season.
It is no longer news that the Gunners have secured a deal for Bayer Leverkusen goalie Bern Leno, who is tipped to replace Petr Cech in Unai Emery’s starting lineup in the upcoming season.
The latest player, who can’t wait to sign a new deal with the North London club is Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu.
The 22-year-old defender revealed to newsmen that he will be happy to get his Arsenal career started in the upcoming season after the summer World Cup.
It was reported in many transfer media that the Gunners have already agreed to Freiburg’s financial terms over the youngster’s future but they are yet to officially finalize the deal.
The player recently told reporters that he is looking forward to moving to the North London club this summer despite having three years left on his contract with the Bundesliga side.
He further reveals that he is receiving offers from Turkish clubs but he didn’t want a move to Turkey at the moment.
Despite his age, Soyuncu is a regular starter for Freiburg throughout last season, he was involved in 33 matches in all competitions for the Bundesliga club.
The physical-imposing defender could make his dream switch to the Emirates Stadium in couple of days.
