Chelsea defender set to remain in Turkey
Chelsea defender Kenneth Omeruo is reportedly the subject of intense speculation linking him to Trabzonspor according to reports from Turkey.
The Turkish giants are understood to be eager on the Nigerian and have reportedly sat down for another round of talks with Chelsea over a loan deal for the player.
Competition for places at the Blues is intense as ever and Omeruo isn’t considered a guaranteed first team and have had subsequent spells at different clubs in recent seasons.
The 23- year- old is currently to loan at Kaimpasa but could be set for a short trip to rivals Trabzonspor as reports from Turkish news outlet, Fotoman claims the Black sea storm wants the centre back on another seemingly temporary move although chances are the player would prefer a permanent move away as his chances of gaining a first team opportunities at his parent club appears unlikely.
Omeruo has been an understudy to Nigeria’s recent centre back pairing of Leon Balogun and Williams Troost- Ekong but could be set to make a first appearance at the Fifa World cup due to an injury to Brighton and Hove Albion defender Leon Balogun in 2 -o loss to Croatia last weekend.
