Arsenal want-away midfielder Jack Wilshere is in the last month of his contract with the Gunners and that means he is free to discuss with clubs over the possibility of joining them on a free transfer.

We reported here yesterday that the England international could leave the Emirates Stadium this summer as he was told he won’t be used regularly by the Gunners manager in the upcoming season.

The 26-year-old is being tracked by a host of Serie A sides according to Tuttosport but he might remain in England but not in North London.

Though Juventus were the initial suitor linked with the player’s services, they were subsequently joined by Sampodria and AC Milan in the race to capture his services.

Considering Wilshere’s exploits throughout his stay at the North London club for over a decade, it will be a very disappointing situation if there are no interest from Premier League clubs. But is not going to happen anyway as Crystal Palace are showing the desire to work with him next season.

The rejuvenated central midfielder would surely be a very strong opponent to play against in the upcoming season as long as he remains fit and on a form.

Having managed to escaped relegation last season, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has identified the player as one of his prime targets in the ongoing transfer window.

The Eagles failed to create many goalscoring chances throughout last season and that played a huge part in their uninspiring display that almost got them relegated to the Championship next season.

The former England and West Brom manager will hope to convince the Englishman to join him at the Selhurst Park Stadium.

West Ham, Wolves and Everton are other Premier League clubs hoping to acquire the experienced player as a free agent.
