Last season’s Champions League finalist Liverpool are eyeing a possible move for another midfielder despite the acquisition of two world-class midfielders ahead of next season.
It is no longer news that Naby Keita will be joining the Merseyside club from RB Leipzig this summer while Fabinho was captured by the Reds from Porto.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp seems not comfortable with the numbers of midfielders in his squad and he is now moving for Bayern Munich central midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to Calcio Insider.
The Frenchman is one of the best performers in the Bavarian squad last season but his future at the Allianz Arena remains uncertain due to interest from Liverpool and other clubs.
Tolisso became the most expensive player in the German top-flight League when he made his €41.5m move to Allianz Arena last year.
Though he has only spent just a season with the Bundesliga Champions, Tolisso is one of the fans favorite.
He had a very eventful season with the club last season as he featured in 40 matches in all competitions, scoring 17 goals in the process to help the team to the Bundesliga trophy.
Tolisso, who draws his inspiration from Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, told reporters last year that he would love to play in the Premier League because it is the best League in the World.
“For me, it’s (Bundesliga) a very good championship. But the best is the Premier League. There, there is more spectacle and competition.” he said.
