Goalkeeper deal stalls leading to bid for Chelsea Goalkeeper
Real Madrid appear to have fallen some way short of Allison’s valuation by Roma and have reportedly switched their attention to Chelsea’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Brazilian goalkeeper Allison remains the Spanish club top transfer target with the club reportedly earmarking the goalie as a replacement for Keylor Navas who has struggled to redeem his image with the club exasperated over the problematic position.
Allison was keen on sorting out his future prior to the start of the Mundial amid links with a move away from Italy this summer and reports from Belgian news outlet, HLN claim Real made an offer of 52 million pounds which was way off from Roma’s 69 million pounds price tag for the shot-stopper.
Though both clubs haven’t pulled plugs on the deal and will hold further talks on a five year deal for Allison. But reports also claim the Champions League Winner have met Chelsea through a broker and laid in a bid of 35 million pounds for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois which apparently was rejected by the Blues.
The Belgian is in the final year of his contract at the London clubs and with a renewal not forthcoming has been linked with a return back to Spain.
