Sad news – Manchester United offer for star player rejected.
Manchester United have reportedly suffered a setback in their hopes of strengthening its backline with reports claiming Inter Milan have rejected a 65m euros bid for defender Milan Skrinar.
Skrinar’s stellar performances last term for the Italian club made him of the most sought-after defenders in European football and reports have linked the centre back with an exit from San Siro just barely a year after his arrival from Sampdoria for 20 million pounds.
Gazello dello sports claims Manchester United have held a long term interest in the 23 -year-old as Mourinho is intent on bolstering his options ahead of next season.
Another report also suggested the Portuguese manager shortlisted Skrinar in a five man target which includes Bayern Munich’s want away defender Jerome Boateng, Tottenham’s defender Toby and Napoli’s combatant Kalidou Koulibaly.
The reports though claimed the Italian club is not looking to sell its prized asset and turned down the 65 million pounds offered by the English club for Skrinar.
Inter Milan’s Chinese owners are seeking to hand the Slovakian an extension to his contract which would potentially worth an increase in the defender’s reported 2.2 million euros per annum earnings that would hopefully ward off potential suitors.
