Having missed out on next season’s Champions League competition, the Blues are hoping to return back to the European competition in the 2019-20 season.

Chelsea were poor in all departments throughout last season. Thibaut Courtois – though impressive – made some schoolboy errors that cost the team some points.

Cahill wasn’t the player we all knew during the 2016-17 season in which they emerged as the League’s Champions.

Christensen shows a glimpse of brilliance but his inexperience affected his games at some point in the season.

The Midfield positions was nothing, to say the least.

Despite capturing world-class strikers – Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, their attacking threat lack strength and fluidity.

Though the Blues are yet to find a new manager to replace Antonio Conte, reports suggest that the West London Club have lined up some eye-profile players they hope to lure to the Stamford Bridge next season.

According to Telegraph, the Blues are willing to sign Michael Jean Seri, who is rated £35m by the Sun Newspaper.

Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski is another player who is being tracked by Roman Abramovich. The Poland striker is set to cost more than £100m considering his exploits for the Bundesliga club.

Manchester United and France international Anthony Martial is the last player on the Blues’ wishlist.

The 22-year-old striker was left out of France World Cup squad due to his ineffectiveness at Old Trafford.

He is reportedly seeking a move out of the team before next season and Chelsea are willing to render him quality first-team actions should he move to Stamford Bridge.
