Done Deal – Arsenal Confirm New Deal For Highly-rated Star

Maitland-Nile

Arsenal have renewed the contract of one of their highly-rated midfielders Maitland-Nile, according to the club’s official page.

The Gunners board of directors only release £50m to Unai Emery to purchase the players he trusts would help him succeed at North London.

With the way players are becoming too expensive in the modern-day football, £50m is never going to be sufficient for the Spanish manager to purchase all the players he wanted.

As a way of preventing spending much on reinforcing his midfield position, Emery has awarded a new five-year contract for their versatile young midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Nile.

The 20-year-old was promoted to the club’s first-team squad by Arsene Wenger during last season and the player repaid the Frenchman’s trust with impressive performances, though, he showed some signs of nervousness while playing against big names.

During his debut season a first-team player at the Emirates stadium, the England international appeared in different positions including the right-back, left-back, right wing-back and also left wing-back.

However, his preferred position is in the middle of the pitch. With the Gunners struggling to keep Jack Wilshere with the club beyond this summer, Maitland-Nile could be a regular starter in Unai Emery’s team in the 2018-19 season. He is expected to put on jersey number 15 next season.

Arsenal are reportedly in a four-way battle to sign young English defender Dylan Crowe ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.

According to the report from popular English news portal Daily Mirror, the Gunners will have to fend off competition from rivals Manchester United and the German Bundesliga duo of RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund in their bid to sign the 17-year-old.

The young English defender plays for English Championship side Ipswich Town where he’s yet to make a first team appearance.

He rose through the ranks at the club after joining at the age of 12 and has featured for the Championship outfit’s various youth teams.

Stan Kroenke

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has been ranked the 58th richest individual in the United States of America according to a special report from the Forbes Magazine.

According to Forbes, the 71-year-old made his money from Real Estate and Sports and is currently worth $8.5bn.

Stan Kroenke is, however, a long way from technology expert Jeff Bezos who’s the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Amazon.

Jeff Bezos is the richest man in America with an estimated personal fortune of $160bn.

Stan Kroenke recently became the outright owner of North London giants Arsenal in August after he made a $550m offer to buy out the shares of the club’s second majority shareholder Alisher Usmanov.

Arsenal are reportedly worth $2.3bn after the complete takeover from Stan Kroenke was completed.

His complete ownership of the Gunners has coincided with the club’s impressive winning run of nine games in all competitions under new manager Unai Emery.

The Spanish tactician signed a three-year in the summer as a replacement for Frenchman Arsene Wenger who ended his 22-year reign at the end of last season.

He started the season with successive league defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea before turning things around with the recent winning sequence of nine games.

Reiss Nelson

Arsenal fans have demanded for the club to recall young forward Reiss Nelson from his loan deal in Germany after he netted twice on Saturday.

The 18-year-old broke into the Arsenal team under former manager Arsene Wenger in the last campaign before impressing further during pre-season ahead of this campaign under the guidance of the new Arsenal manager Unai Emery.

The England U21 star was then sent on a season-long loan deal to German Bundesliga outfit TSG Hoffenheim once their manager, Julian Nagelsmann expressed an interest in him.

He has been in sensational form for his new club since he made the move during this summer’s transfer window.

Reiss Nelson scored on his Hoffenheim debut against newly promoted side Fortuna Dusseldorf before netting the lone goal in a 2-1 home defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt shortly before the international break.

He went on to score a sensational freekick as he produced an impressive display to lead the England U21s to victory over Scotland.

The Arsenal Academy graduate then topped it up with a brace in the 3-1 win over Nurnberg in their German Bundesliga clash on Saturday.

Gunners fans could not hide their excitement on various social media portals as they called on the club to recall him from the loan spell in January.

He has scored four goals in four games and 163 minutes of football for Hoffenheim.
