Arsenal reportedly failed in bid for Chelsea star.
Chelsea defender David Luiz is reportedly the subject of a failed 20m bid by the Gunners.
The Brazilian centre-back returned to Chelsea after a stint at PSG in 2016 but recently endured a turbulent campaign at the club with injuries and a bust-up with Antonio Conte leading his frozen out of the team.
Luiz made just over a handful of appearances for the club last term and the star appears keen on an exit, regardless of the unresolved managerial situation at the club, though his chances of staying could increase should the Italian coach depart the club.
And according to reports from Le10sport, London rivals Arsenal have shown interest in acquiring the Brazilian international as Unai Emery seeks to add more defensive options prior to his first full campaign at the club.
The same reports also claim the Gunners have made an opening bid for Luiz though it was deemed as derisory by the Blues and subsequently rejected, but the north London club are not ready on backing off and are potentially mulling over an increased bid for the frizzy-haired star.
Luiz, 29 has a year left in his contract and seems likely to depart Stamford Bridge for the second time in four years.
