Liverpool and Besiktas yet to agree to fee for striker
The Turkish club are have expressed their desire in making the forward their marquee signing this summer
Liverpool striker, Daniel Sturridge is poised to depart the club and is reportedly sought after by Besiktas this summer.
The Englishman has endured a turbulent year, suffering niggling injuries and failing to usurp the Red’s fearsome forward line of Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane before being shipped to West Brom on a loan spell worth around £3.8 million in the hope of gaining more first-team football.
However, his spell at the Hawthorns proved to be an expensive disaster for the Baggies as the 28- year old managed just 116 minutes for the club as they suffered relegation from the Premier League last campaign.
Sturridge is back at Merseyside but has been told he has no future at the club by manager Jurgen Klopp and would be allowed to leave should a club meets the Reds valuation of the striker.
And citing reports from Turkish news outlet Star claims Besiktas have held talks with Liverpool and the striker’s agent Hassan Anim Eken over a summer transfer. Eken, who interestingly is a Turk has reportedly concluded terms with Liverpool though a fee is yet to be agreed between both clubs.
