Finally, Manchester United Star Have Decided To Stay At United

Published

Ander Herrera

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has reportedly decided to remain at Old Trafford despite interest from his former club Athletic.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a fruitful second half of the season during the previous season as he was given a second chance to impress by José Mourinho.

During the first period of last campaign, the player wasn’t fully utilized by the Portuguese manager, who prefers a midfield that includes Pogba, Matic and his compatriot Juan Mata.

Though Herrera is enjoying a rejuvenated career under Mourinho, reports suggested that he might be heading towards United’s exit door after the Russia 2018 World Cup.

According to the report that emanated last night via Don Balon, the workaholic midfielder might be on his way to return back to Athletic Bilbao in the upcoming season. The Spanish media outlet also claimed that Herrera could also join Juventus, who are keenly monitoring his situation at the Theater of Dreams.

However, contrary to reports from Don Balon, British media Sky Sports report that the 28-year-old is keen to remain at Old Trafford despite intense competition for a place in Mourinho’s team.

Should he maintain his stand over his future, Herrera would need to work harder on training ground so as to maintain regular first-team action ahead of new signing Fred, who joined United from Shakhtar Donetsk last week.

Andy Robertson

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is of the opinion that his side slim win against Huddersfield is very significant to the Red’s title bid.

It took the brilliance of Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah to save the Anfield side at the John Smith Stadium on Saturday.

Robertson admitted it was a difficult game but his side had shown character and resilience to be able to win the game ugly. He added that it brought relief to the team and the fans after fears that they could drop more points.

According to him, it is evidence that they deserve to win the league this season while affirming their candidacy as real contenders.

He praised the newly promoted Huddersfield for putting up a good fight that almost went in their favour but they ended up suffering their sixth defeat of the season.

While Huddersfield are second to the last, Liverpool went second on the log behind Chelsea with 23 points in 9 league games.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has lamented the poor performance of his side in the game noting that they were not composed from the beginning of the game but were only lucky to see a win.

Klopp hopes to keep pushing so as to win a title for his side this year. The German has not won a title since joining the club about three years back.

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has been ranked the 58th richest individual in the United States of America according to a special report from the Forbes Magazine.

According to Forbes, the 71-year-old made his money from Real Estate and Sports and is currently worth $8.5bn.

Jeff Bezos is the richest man in America with an estimated personal fortune of $160bn.

Stan Kroenke recently became the outright owner of North London giants Arsenal in August after he made a $550m offer to buy out the shares of the club’s second majority shareholder Alisher Usmanov.

Arsenal are reportedly worth $2.3bn after the complete takeover from Stan Kroenke was completed.

His complete ownership of the Gunners has coincided with the club’s impressive winning run of nine games in all competitions under new manager Unai Emery.

The Spanish tactician signed a three-year in the summer as a replacement for Frenchman Arsene Wenger who ended his 22-year reign at the end of last season.

He started the season with successive league defeats against Manchester City and Chelsea before turning things around with the recent winning sequence of nine games.
