Arsenal are, no doubt, the busiest club in the ongoing transfer window. The North London club had earlier confirmed one signing — Lichtsteiner from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer.
They are also reportedly close to capturing Porto youngster Yacine Adli, though, reports via L’Equipe this morning suggested that the 17-year-old defender is considering a U-turn.
Having heard of Adli’s speculated decision to renew his contract with PSG, the Gunners have swiftly move to tie down Danny Ballard to the Emirates Stadium by offering him his first professional contract.
The 18-year-old defender was part of Arsenal’s academy setup before being released by the Gunners due to unimpressive performances.
After his full recovery from lengthy injury which he picked up during his trials with Southampton, Ballard returned back to great form and was re-signed by Arsenal in the 2016-17 season.
The Northern Irishman has maintained a steady growth in his game, progressing through the ranks until he was offered a new and first contract by the club earlier today.
The youngster couldn’t hide his joy after committing himself to a long-term future with the Gunners. According to him, life at the Hale end academy has been a Rollercoaster experience for him and he is happy to remain at the club.
He revealed how determined he was to achieve his dream of becoming a professional player for the Gunners.
