Chelsea are yet to sign any player in ongoing transfer window though, they are reportedly targeting lots of world-class players before the end of the transaction period.

One of Chelsea’s targets Jean Seri is presently one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world with Arsenal and Tottenham both believed to be interested in luring the Ivorian to their respective clubs.

However, the Daily Mirror are reporting that Premier League Champions Manchester City have joined the Blues in the chase after his service.

The Citizens have earlier shown interest to capture Napoli midfielder Jorginho in the summer as a replacement for Yaya Toure, who has moved out of the Etihad Stadium having reached the end of his contract by the end of last season.

Despite making an early approach towards capturing the Italian midfielder, City were unable to convince the Naples to let him go this summer.

The Mirror suggested that the Serie A Champions are asking for a sum of £60m from the Citizens but they are only willing to pay £42m for the player.

Having failed in his bid to capture Jorginho, City manager Pep Guardiola has turned his attention to the £36m-rated Ivorian international midfielder, who has the same playing style with his compatriot.

Ligue 1 side OGC Nice are unwilling to let go of their influential midfielder this summer but City might convince them to release him by offering a Mouthwatering deal for his signature.
