Chelsea are reportedly behind West Ham in the chase after Lazio star player Felipe Anderson. The Hammers have made a €30m offer for the Brazilian, according to Calciomercato in one of their yesterday’s edition.
The player wasn’t too impressive for the Serie A side during last season but both Premier League sides are in a transfer-war to acquire his signature.
Calciomercato also suggests that the Blues are planning to make an offer, which will be more enticing and lucrative, for the player in coming days.
It should be recalled that Anderson was on verge of joining Manchester United some years ago but the deal failed to push through, due to Lazio’s desire to make him stay for more seasons.
In other Chelsea transfer news, the Blues are closer to signing Micheal Jean Seri in the summer.
The Ivorian star is tipped as the player whose switch to Stamford Bridge would ultimately put an end to Danny Drinkwater’s spell with the Blues.
Drinkwater, 28, played just 12 matches for the West London Club throughout last season and he’s believed to be heading out of Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Unlike the former Leicester City midfielder, Seri is a regular starter for his team OGC Nice. His regular eye-catching performances can’t be overlooked by Chelsea, who are doing all they could to beat United and Arsenal to his signature.
