Chelsea and France international defender Kurt Zouma, who spent last season on loan at Stoke City, is reportedly being tracked by Turkish Champions Galatasaray in the summer.
The player was one of the brightest performers for the Blues in the 2015-16 season in which the team was far from convincing.
José Mourinho, who was the manager as at that time, took a gamble in integrating the youngster into his starting lineup ahead of John Terry and the Frenchman didn’t disappoint as he was one of the best defenders in the League.
Unfortunately, Zouma couldn’t complete the season due to an unfortunate injury( cruciate Ligament tear) he picked up which ultimately ended his bright start to his Chelsea career.
Though the player returned to full fitness in the closing stages of the 2016-17 season under new manager Antonio Conte, he failed to reclaim his place in the Italian’s starting lineup and that led to his loan move to the Britannia Stadium before the start of last season.
His move to Stoke City turned out to be the best decision made by the defender, who desperately need regular time on the pitch to facilitate his return to his initial blistering form.
Despite his no-nonsense display at the back for Stoke City, the club was unable to escape relegation to the Championship League.
As result of Stoke City’s relegation coupled with the intense competition for starting spot at Chelsea, Zouma is reportedly set to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
According to RMC Sports, Galatasaray are looking at the prospect of making the player their first summer signing.
However, it is unclear whether the Turkish side are bidding for an outright purchase or they want him on a season long-loan deal in the summer.
