Liverpool To Miss Out On Oblak Due To Huge Price Tag
Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their desire to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak in the summer.
The Reds are hoping to get the Slovenia goalkeeper so as to integrate him into Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup ahead of the upcoming season but that could be a bit difficult task for the Merseyside club to achieve.
Despite having three years left in his contract with the La Liga giants, Jan Oblak is tipped to be moving out of the Spanish Capital in the summer due to his desire to play in the Premier League.
However, Liverpool might be unable to capture the goalie’s signature due to Atletico’s asking price. According to reports from the Roji Blancos, Oblak is valued at £80m — a fee too high for the Reds to spend on a single goalkeeper.
The Wanda Metropolitano outfits are not ready to partway with their first-choice goaltender, therefore, they slapped an excessive amount on his signature so as to scare-off Liverpool from making official moves to capture him.
With the latest development on Oblak’s signature, the Reds have turned their attention to Roma goalkeeper Alisson, according to the Mirror.
The British media outlet suggest that the Reds are hoping to lure the Brazilian to Anfield stadium despite huge price tag placed on him by the Serie A side.
It was reported that Roma are asking for €100m from Liverpool if they must acquire his services ahead of the 2018-19 season.
