Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is in talks with the Blues hierarchy over the possibility of extending his contract, according to reports from West London.
Courtois, 26, has always been a source of speculations over the years as Madrid clubs — Atletico and Real —are considered as his next destination.
The Belgian’s family reside in Spain, hence, there are rumours that he could be leaving for Spain so as to spend quality time with his family.
However, the rumours over his future could be put to rest anytime soon as there are reports that suggest the netminder is presently in contract talks with the club’s board of directors.
With a year left in his present deal with the Blues, Courtois is permitted to listen to any offer from suitors but he might just be staying at Stamford Bridge if the reports from the Bridge is anything to go by.
Courtois is presently with Belgian side preparing for the summer world cup that will start in just eight days. There would definitely be scouts, who would be monitoring the player’s display with his country, hoping to snatch him from Chelsea in the next transfer period.
PSG are also in the race to sign the 26-year-old, according to French media outlet L’Equipe.
The media publication reported last that PSG striker Neymar revealed that only Courtois and his Brazilian teammate Casemiro could stop him from leaving the Parc Des Princes Stadium for Santiago Bernabeu ahead of next season.
