Liverpool are enjoying life under Jurgen Klopp as they made it to last season’s Champions League final for the first time in 13 years, though they were defeated by Real Madrid to lift the trophy for the third consecutive season.
Klopp seems to have brought new and fresh air into the team and that reflected in their ruthlessness in front of goal throughout the previous campaign.
Liverpool possesses one of the deadliest attacking frontlines in the world, but the same thing can’t be said of their midfield and defense.
The Reds conceded some cheap goals in the early part of the season but since they signed Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton in January, they looked a bit stronger at the back.
However, Jurgen Klopp is reportedly linked with a desire to reignite interest in Fulham’s versatile youngster Ryan Sessegnon in the summer.
Sessegnon, who is worth £50m according to London Evening Standard, is being tracked by the German manager, who is hoping to bring a quality left-back to his squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The youngster was deployed in three playing positions by Fulham in the just-concluded season. He started last season as a left-back before being drafted to the middle of the pitch as an attacking midfielder.
Despite his breath-taking performance at the centre, he was pushed forward to the striking position in the latter part of the season.
Chelsea, Tottenham are both believed to be interested in the 24-goal striker’s services ahead of next season.
