Jose Mourinho on the verge to sign Marco Veratti this summer

United manager, Jose Mourinho is reportedly a huge admirer of the Italian and is keen on him being the marquee signing this summer, according to reports.

Citing claims from MEN, Mourinho has shortlisted Verrati among options which also includes, Fred, Arturo Vidal, Jean-Micheal Seri , Jorginho and Serjej-Milinkovic.

The Red Devils, though could lose Jorginho to Manchester city who are reportedly in pole position to land the Napoli midfielder but appear to have sealed a deal for  Fred with the transfer set to be announced ahead of a medical at Old Trafford in the coming days.

With Fred’s signing imminent, Mourinho is still intent on adding more dynamism to a midfield evidently bereft of creativity the previous campaign and reports  from the Sun and the Mirror have claimed the Portuguese manager has deemed Verrati a perfect fit for the role and is weighing up a bid of 75-100 million pounds to land the playmaker.

The Italy International is regarded as one of the best players in his position and his arrival would prove a statement of the English club’s ambition to restore itself back to the glorious heights of Alex Ferguson’s era.

Eric Bailly

Man United defender Eric Bailly could be on his way out of the club in the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from January 1.

The Ivorian international centre-back has fallen out of favour with manager Jose Mourinho in the new campaign thus leading to reports of a transfer away from the Theatre of Dreams.

He has featured in just seven games in all competitions in this campaign, including five Premier League games.

According to the publication from the Daily Record via caughtoffside, two North London giants could go head-to-head for him.

Arsenal and North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur have been repeatedly linked with a move for the former Villareal and Espanyol player.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United would be willing to sanction his sale to one of their rivals for the top four places in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho is said to be keen to move him and Argentine international star Marcos Rojo on in a bid to free up space for a new centre back signing during the upcoming transfer window in January.

Players like Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Inter Milan star Milan Skriniar and Tottenham Hotspur centre back Toby Alderweireld have all been linked with the Red Devils.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Chelsea have agreed to send star player Callum Hudson Odoi on loan in the coming January transfer window.

The 18-year-old young lad has been seeking for first-team football at the Stamford Bridged but he will have the chance to get it outside the West London club.

Callum Hudson Odoi’s loan move is designed by manager Maurizio who wants the player as well as others to go out to secure a level of experience outside the club since they will not have that level of opoortunity at the Stamford Bridge.

Attempt was made by the Italian manager to keep the player and that was the reason why he listed Callum Hudson Odoi in the starting lineup for the Community Shield in August where he played about 59 minutes in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

There are suggestions that Callum Hudson Odoi will head to either Germany, Australia or Netherlands where he can get quick developments before returning back to the club.

The Blues have got a number of young talents within that age grade but Ross Barkley has been able to beat off all competitions to make the first team.

The young lad stood in the gap for Belgium star Eden Hazard while he was away as a result of back pain.

Federico Chiesa

Liverpool will have to battle Premier League rivals Chelsea and Man United for the signature of Italian winger Federico Chiesa according to reports.

The Anfield side have been tipped to be ahead of others in the move for the Florentina forward who will be allowed to leave the club in the nearby future but on a worthy price.

However, the West London side Chelsea are also reported to be making big moves to snatch the player off Liverpool’s hook while Serie A sides Napoli and Juventus are also linked to the player.

But a bid for the service of the winger by the Italian giants are reported to have been turned down which gives the Reds an advantage to go all out for Federico Chiesa’s signature.

Meanwhile, the English Premier League giants are making efforts to add quality to their squad with the manager Jurgen Klopp seeking to win his first title at the Anfield since joining from Borussia Dortmund about three years ago.

The German manager has admitted that finishing second in the Premier League and Champions League will mean no medal for his side, hence there is a need to win something to be able to confirm the club as a big one.

Aaron Ramsey

Bavarian giants Bayern Munich have emerged as overwhelming favourites to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey at the end of his contract in North London.

According to the report from the Independent via the Daily Star, the German champions have made a breakthrough in talks with his representatives and are confident that they have won the race to sign the highly coveted player.

Inter Milan, Juventus, Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan have also been mooted as possible destinations for the Welsh international playmaker.

He has made over 300 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions.

Ramsey was a regular under former manager Arsene Wenger but he has seen his playing time reduce drastically under the new managerial regime of Unai Emery who was appointed as the Arsenal manager in the summer.

Despite his reduced game time for the team, Aaron Ramsey has scored once and provided four assists in the new league campaign.

2006 Champions League finalists Arsenal have to see off competition from Italian Serie A giants AS Roma in their bid to sign Real Madrid forward Lucas Vazquez when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

According to the publication from popular English media platform Daily Star, Arsenal are ready to make a move for the Spanish international player in January.

The 27-year-old Real Madrid Academy graduate is behind the quintet of Isco, Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale, Mariano and Karim Benzema for the forward positions at the club.

A bid of around £26m would be enough to prise him away from the Spanish capital club according to the aforementioned publication.

He could be a direct replacement for injured Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.

England international player Welbeck is almost certain to miss the rest of the season after he broke his ankle last week Thursday.

He sustained the injury during the Europa League home game against Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon at the Emirates Stadium.

Domagoj Vida

Premier League giants Arsenal came close to signing Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida during the summer’s transfer according to various media reports.

Vida was one of the standout performers for the Croatia squad that surprisingly reached the final of this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia before they were beaten 4-2 by eventual winners France in their final clash in Moscow.

According to the report from Turkish media portal Aksam via thesportswitness, Arsenal offered €12m for Vida but Besiktas wanted more from the Gunners.

The Turkish Super League giants were said to have requested for Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina in addition to the transfer fee offered by the North London giants.

Colombian international shot-stopper Ospina went on to join Italian Serie A giants Napoli on a season-long loan deal until next summer, while the Turkish side beefed up their goalkeeping options with the addition of German goalkeeper Loris Karius.

Karius joined Besiktas on a season-long loan deal from Merseyside giants Liverpool.

Domagoj Vida joined Besiktas from Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv in January on a free transfer and the club would still look to sell him when the transfer window reopens so as to make a profit on him.

Finally, Man United Offer Contract Extension To Star Player

Ashley Young

Manchester United have offered defender Ashley Young a contract extension in a bid to ward off the interest of Italian Serie A side AS Roma.

The Italians are interested in a move for the 33-year-old England international.

According to the report from The Sun, Manchester United have offered Ashley Young a one-year contract extension that will take him until the end of the 2019/20 season.

His current deal expires at the end of the season and an additional year will take it until 2020.

If the contract extension is still unsigned, Ashley Young can start to speak with foreign clubs as from the start of the New Year.

Ashley Young has been a wonderful servant for both club and country in the last one decade.

He was part of the England squad that finished in the fourth spot at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia though he hardly featured throughout the competition.

Young made his debut for the Three Lions of England against Austria in November 2016 and has scored seven goals in 39 caps for his country.

He would be a fantastic addition to the Roma team if the Italians can pull it off due to the fact that he can play as a winger, wing back or fullback.
