Jose Mourinho on the verge to sign Marco Veratti this summer
United manager, Jose Mourinho is reportedly a huge admirer of the Italian and is keen on him being the marquee signing this summer, according to reports.
Citing claims from MEN, Mourinho has shortlisted Verrati among options which also includes, Fred, Arturo Vidal, Jean-Micheal Seri , Jorginho and Serjej-Milinkovic.
The Red Devils, though could lose Jorginho to Manchester city who are reportedly in pole position to land the Napoli midfielder but appear to have sealed a deal for Fred with the transfer set to be announced ahead of a medical at Old Trafford in the coming days.
With Fred’s signing imminent, Mourinho is still intent on adding more dynamism to a midfield evidently bereft of creativity the previous campaign and reports from the Sun and the Mirror have claimed the Portuguese manager has deemed Verrati a perfect fit for the role and is weighing up a bid of 75-100 million pounds to land the playmaker.
The Italy International is regarded as one of the best players in his position and his arrival would prove a statement of the English club’s ambition to restore itself back to the glorious heights of Alex Ferguson’s era.
