Nabil Fekir’s agent is reportedly on the way to England to finalize talks with Liverpool, amid reports the reds are on the verge of agreeing to a deal for the Lyon captain.
The 24- year-old has been earmarked as a suitable replacement for the departed Philippe Coutinho and reports suggest Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on making Fekir a second consecutive signing from Ligue 1 , in the aftermath of the successful acquisition of Fabinho from AS Monaco for 50 million euros
And citing reports from the French broadcaster Canal plus, negotiations between both the Reds and the Frenchman have been positively encouraging with his representatives now set to fly to Merseyside and formalize talks ahead of an impending transfer to Anfield.
The midfielder is keen on avoiding any distraction before the commencement of the World cup and is ardent on his future being sorted out swiftly.
This could mean as far as the talks still remain positive in the coming days, Fekir should be announced as the club’s latest signing prior to a medical.
Further signings are still expected at the English club, as reports also claim Klopp is actively searching for an adequate goalkeeping replacement for Simon Mignolet who is widely expected to depart the club this summer and the calamitous Loris Karius.
