Former Barcelona coach Luis Enrique still set to take over from Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea’s quest for its managerial position appears to have taken another twist as recent reports claim Luis Enrique have re-opened talks with the London club.
The Blues are already preparing for life after Conte and have already scouted a host of players as club bosses are keen on making further additions to a squad potentially bereft of Goalkeeper Thibaut courteous and winger Willian, amid rumours the duo are seeking to leave Stamford Bridge.
The club are also eager to name a potential successor to manager Antonio Conte whose future has been shrouded in doubt despite securing a trophy in his second successive season in charge.
Ex Barcelona coach Luis Enrique was initially widely expected to take up the reins next season but reports claim negotiations grounded to a halt apparently due to the Spaniard’s wage demands, forcing the club to turn to Napoli’s Maurizio Sarri.
But emerging reports from Spanish publication, the Sport have claim the blues have re-ignited their interest in Enrique and have re-opened talks with the Spaniard. The news outlet also claims a deal could be announced should negotiations reach a successful conclusion.
