Manchester United are reportedly in right path to capturing Cristiano Ronaldo’s signature in the summer. The Red Devils have been linked with a move to reunite with the Portuguese superstar, who wants to leave Santiago Bernabeu due to Zidane’s resignation.
According to Don Balon, the player’s agent is in advance talk with United’s representatives over the possibility of luring his client to Old Trafford ahead of next season.
United Moved to Santiago Bernabeu in 2009 during Carlo Ancelotti’s reign as the Galacticos manager.
He was seamlessly integrated into Madrid’s starting lineup by the Italian manager. Since his debut match for the Spanish giants, Ronaldo has won three Balon d’Or, European Golden Shoe, La Liga highest scorer’s award among others.
The Spanish media outlet further reports that United manager José Mourinho is looking at the prospect of re-signing his countryman in a deal which could cost £149m in the summer.
Talks at currently ongoing between both parties and they are expected to reach an agreement before the start of next season season.
It remains unseen if Madrid president Florentino Perez will want to sell Ronaldo to the Old Trafford outfits despite interest from Ligue 1 Champions Paris St-German, who were heavily linked with a move for his services last winter.
