Roman Abramovich Ahead Of Liverpool To Sign £56m-rated Striker

Published

on

Vazquez

Former Premier League Champions Chelsea are reportedly ahead of Liverpool in the race to sign Real Madrid star Lucas Vazquez in the summer.

The Blues, who are yet to decide Conte’s future, are leading the chase for the Spaniard’s signature as they have made an eye-catching offer for his service.

Vazquez, 26, failed to tie-down a spot in Zidane’s starting lineup last season and that has invoked speculations that he is not happy at Santiago Bernabeu.

Though not rated by Zidane, Vazquez is a player whose qualities will be needed by the Blues in their mission to reclaim the Premier League glory next season.

Chelsea are looking to perform better in the League next season after uninspiring performances during last season which saw them finish in the fifth position.

Vazquez is also being tracked by the Gunners, who are desperately hoping to add more flexibility and attacking flair to their players ahead of next season.

Don Balon had earlier reported that Liverpool boss Jurgen has advised his employers to move for Vazquez service in the summer.

In his bid to beat Arsenal and Liverpool to the £56m-rated striker, Roman Abramovich has promised the Los Blancos man that he would be given more chances to prove himself.

Should he eventually join the Blues in the upcoming season, Abramovich might be forced to partway with Brazilian striker Willian, who wasn’t given much time on the pitch by Conte.

Cesc Fabregas

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas seems to be confused about his next move having hinted that he is contemplating on whether to remain at the club or move elsewhere.

The former Barcelona star has severally complained about his lack of playing time at the Stamford Bridge under manager Maurizio Sarri but seems to still be in love with the club.

With speculations surrounding his future, the Spanish international is heavily linked with a move away from Stanford Bridge and Italian giants AC Milan are believed to be interested in his service.

However, Fabregas’ current contract with the West London side will be expiring at the end of the season and there has been no offer on the table for him from the club which brings the confusion of what next to do.

This leaves the former Arsenal star waiting for any developments that will arise and also looks good for him but at the moment, he is reported to be confused about where his future lies.

Fabregas had stated that he is open to a return to the North London side where he had his first spell in the English Premier League with lots of good memories.

There is, therefore, no assurance that Fabregas would be allowed to return to the Emirates Stadium with the new manager Unai Emery not having him in his plan.

Chelsea are believed to have gone a step further in their bid to sign West Ham United striker Marko Amautovic.

Latest report reveals that the West London side have beaten rivals Manchester United for the footballer as they have held advance talks with him.

The Stamford Bridge side are keen on adding more options to the attack with their both strikers Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata not firing this season.

Both former Arsenal and Real Madrid Players have been inconsistent in their performances which have forced the club to be in search for new players.

Although, manager Maurizio Sarri is of the opinion that the both strikers should not be blamed so as not to mount pressure on them as he believes they will bounce back soon.

The Italian boss also praised the World Cup winner for his impact in the team explaining that he might not score goals but have been able to create chances for others to score.

However, the lastest report says Sarri is now ready to add more options with Marko Amautovic and he is willing to pay within the sum of £30 million.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are unbeaten so far this season and they sit second in the Premier league table with two points behind league leaders Manchester city.

Mauro Icardi

There are indications that West London club Chelsea will not struggle to have Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi sign for the club.

This is after it was revealed by Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta Dello Sport as quoted by talkSPORT that the Serie A side are already preparing for a sanction from UEFA for breaching the Financial Fair Play(FFP) regulations.

Therefore, Inter Milan could make use of Argentina international striker Marco Icardi to raise the sum of £50 million by the end of this season.

However, the player who is valued far over £50 million will be allowed to leave at that amount for no lesser bargain so as to meet up with the UEFA demands.

This places Chelsea on a better advantage to go all out for the player knowing that they will not struggle to get him out of the San Siro.

Inter Milan striker Marco Icardi is also interesting Manchester United with the club ready to release him to any suitor who is ready to meet their demands as well as that of the player.

Meanwhile, Chelsea United are keen on defenders which hands Chelsea the free ride to have striker Marco Icardi as early as in the January transfer window.

michy batshuayi

Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi has denied reports that he will be cutting his loan spell short in order to make a return to the Stamford Bridge.

Michy Batshuayi who seems to be enjoying his loan spell with Spanish side Valencia has hinted that he will be seeing out his loan contract before returning to the West London.

Although, the Belgium international has not been impressive in his performance at Valencia and that is why he is reported to have a return back to the Stamford Bridge.

Michy Batshuayi, therefore, denied all speculations that he might be sent to another club for a second loan spell from Valencia this window as he made it clear that he will be in with the Spanish side until the end of the season.

He described the speculations making the round as rumours, stressing that he has no issue with the club and the club and manager which makes life good for him.

Michy Batshuayi had a first loan spell at the German outfit Borussia Dortmund where he had an impressive performance at the club which sparked the insinuation that he would be having a permanent stay with his owners but that did not happen.

There are, therefore, fears that Michy Batshuayi would be allowed to leave the Blues anytime a suitor comes begging for him.

What Chelsea must do in January window, Jimmy Floyd

Timothy Aiyeku

Published

Chelsea hero Jimmy Floyd Hasselbank has advised his former club to move in for a new striker in the coming winter transfer window if they wish for a silverware this season.

The West London club have been saved this season by their midfielders with Belgium man Eden Hazard and English youngster Ross Barkley rescuing the Blues on several occasions.

Chelsea would have suffered an embarrassing loss to Manchester United when the Red Devils were battling with form but for the introduction of Barkley who came in for the rescue.

The Blues have done well this season with their unbeaten run so far as well as their sitting in the second spot in the Premier League table with two points behind league leaders Manchester City.

All of their positives and achievements this season have been with little or no efforts from their two strikers, Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata who are both shy of goals this season.

According to Hasselbank, any club that must challenge for the Premier League trophy needs three firing strikers which his former side now lack to enable them close the gap on City.

Hasselbank expressed delight that all other things have changed at the club since the arrival of Maurizio Sarri from Napoli as they now hold the ball more and make use of it rightly when going forward.

Another Chelsea defender joins the exit list

Davide Zappacosta

Another Chelsea defender has joined the list of those who are set to leave the Stamford Bridge at in the coming winter transfer window.

Tuttosport reports that out-of-favour defender Davide Zappacosta would be leaving the West London side in January as he seems no longer in the plans of manager Maurizio Sarri.

Davide Zappacosta was signed from Torino by former Italian manager Antonio Conte in 2017 but he has struggled to make a mark at the Stamford Bridge which makes it difficult to secure a starting role.

Earlier reports in the summer had claimed that Davide Zappacosta would be leaving to the Italian side Inter Milan and that did not happen but there are indications that it is time for the defender to have his leave so as to secure starting role elsewhere.

Suggestions are that Davide Zappacosta will not remain in the English Premier League as he would rather move elsewhere in Europe.

However, Davide Zappacosta joins the list of Nigerian international Victor Moses and former Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater as players who could be on their way from the club.

Chelsea are having enough options in the defence and most especially the midfield but there is no doubt that they will be needing options in the attack.

Willian tells Sarri who to replace Morata, Grioud?

It is no longer news that Chelsea are in search of a striker knowing that they have got under-firing strikers this season and they might be on the lookout for their replacements.

French striker Olivier Giroud and Spanish striker Alvaro Morata have both not impressed this season with most of the goals being scored by midfielders and most especially, Belgium international.

Although manager Maurizio Sarri is yet to make any complaints of his strikers, instead he has stood by them and acknowledged their little impact on the team.

However, there are indications that Chelsea star Willian is unhappy with the lack of spark in the attack and might be indirectly telling the Italian boss to move for Everton striker Richarlison.

This is as the Brazilian expressed his admiration for the striker, rating him as the greatest surprise in the Premier League this season with his quality.

Richarlison has scored a total of 6 goals for Everton this season having arrived from Watford in July and that has earned him a call to the Brazilian national team where he scored twice and was quite impressive.

There is no doubt that the Blues Italian manager will have his attention drawn to the Everton player and might be tempted to move in for him anytime in the future.

Chelsea midfielder has finally made decision on future

danny drinkwater

With several reports linking Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater away from the Stamford Bridge, he has now come out to make a decision to remain at the club and not move elsewhere.

Danny Drinkwater was part of the Blues team before he lost out of the starting XI and has only been limited to few minutes from the bench since manager Maurizio Sarri joined Chelsea from Italian side Napoli in the summer.

The lack of playing time for the 28-year-old midfielder drew speculations of his switch away from the club with as it was reported that he was unhappy playing few minutes.

Despite all of these, The Telegraph reports that the former Leicester City will not be seeking a move away amidst interest from his former club and West Ham United, adding that he will only wait until next season before considering a move away.

Danny Drinkwater was part of the Leicester City team that won the English Premier League in the 2015/2016 season before moving to the Stamford Bridge alongside N’Golo Kante but he has failed to justify the £35 million invested on him and the £100,000 per week wages he earns.

Howbeit, Chelsea will soon make a decision to let Danny Drinkwater leave if he fails to break into the team anytime soon.

Liverpool bows to Chelsea over highly rated star player

Ousmane Dembele

2012 Champions League winners Chelsea have been handed a big boost in their bid to sign highly-rated Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele following the news that Premier League title rivals Liverpool have pulled out of the race to sign the 21-year-old when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

Several media reports claimed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is happy with his attacking options at the moment and that he won’t be signing the hugely talented player.

Liverpool have the quartet of Sadio Mane, Daniel Sturridge, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in attack as well as the forgotten Reds duo of Divock Origi and Dominic Solanke.

The Merseyside club also added Swiss international star Xerdan Shaqiri to their attacking ranks in the summer.

The former Bayern Munich and Inter Milan player signed for Liverpool during the summer’s transfer window after the Reds paid the £13m release clause in his contract at Stoke City who were relegated at the end of the last Premier League campaign.

The World Cup winner has been linked with a move to the English top flight ahead of the next transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.

The Frenchman has been underwhelming for Barcelona since he signed for the Nou Camp giants last summer for an initial fee of around €105m plus add-ons of €35m.

Chelsea star set to return back to Stamford Bridge

Timothy Aiyeku

Michy Batshuayi

Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi who is currently on loan with Spanish side Valencia could be on his way back to the Stamford Bridge if calls made by fans are anything to go by.

The 25-year-old was brilliant with his national team on Thursday night where he scored a brace to hand his Belgium side a 2-0 win over Iceland in the international friendly.

Since joining the West London club in 2016, the Belgium international has been inconsistent in his performance and that has been an excuse to the club managers for keeping him on the bench without enough starting role.

He was out of favour in the former manager Antonio Conte’s team where he mostly came in from the bench but little did we know that the Italian boss was not wrong with the coming of manager Maurizio Sarri who also did not make use of the Belgium man.

Michy Batshuayi was eventually sent out on his second loan spell to Valencia and it is obvious he is still not living to expectations as he has got just two goals to his name, each in the Premier and the Champions League since joining in the summer.

However, his performance on Thursday night have seen the Blues fans hailing the player with the hope of having him return back from his loan spell.
